For ten consecutive years, the company has participated in the provincial drug supervision and administration bureau's assessment of inspection capabilities for drug companies in Shandong Province, covering aspects such as microbial testing and traceability, precise instrument content determination, traditional Chinese medicine heavy metal and harmful element residue determination, and traditional Chinese medicine characterization identification. The assessment results have consistently been "satisfactory," confirming the recognized testing capabilities. Hongjitang Pharmaceutical has jointly established or independently constructed medicinal herb planting bases to control the quality of medicinal materials from the source, selecting authentic herbs and implementing strict supplier management, including supplier audits and performance evaluations. 

The company has developed internal control standards higher than national standards. Experienced traditional Chinese medicine identification experts rigorously inspect incoming raw materials to prevent occurrences of adulteration, dyeing for weight increase, contamination, or mold. For donkey hides, a dual verification process involving experienced identification and DNA testing is implemented to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the raw materials used in Hongjitang's donkey-hide gelatin. The company has established the first DNA testing laboratory in the adhesive industry to conduct DNA testing on each piece of donkey hide, ensuring that every raw material is thoroughly examined. A three-tier quality supervision and training system has been established throughout the drug production process to ensure the full implementation of regulations by all personnel, in all aspects, and at all stages. Through automation, informatization, and intelligent means, process compliance is ensured, and product quality, safety, and effectiveness are controlled. 

Hongjitang Pharmaceutical has implemented product traceability for all categories of medicines, including donkey-hide gelatin, traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces, proprietary Chinese medicines, traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, chemical raw materials, and preparations. Among them, the traceability systems for donkey-hide gelatin, traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces, and proprietary Chinese medicines have been listed as demonstration projects for nationwide promotion by the Ministry of Commerce of China. The establishment of the leading Jinan Smart Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy has realized full traceability from prescription, dispensing, decoction, to delivery, enabling convenient access to traditional Chinese medicine for the public. 

Hongjitang Pharmaceutical aims to lead the industry with effective standard construction. It has taken the lead in drafting the first local standard for the donkey-hide gelatin traceability system, "Guidelines for the Design and Implementation of Donkey-Hide Gelatin Traceability System," participated in the formulation of the group standard "Quality Specifications for Donkey-Hide Gelatin" by the China Association of Chinese Medicine, and led the drafting of local standards such as "Construction and Operation Specifications for Smart Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacies" (DB3701/T29—2022) in Jinan City and the group standard "Operational Quality Management Specifications for Smart Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacies" (T/SDACM001-2022) by the Shandong Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
